AP guidelines for social media
Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 09:50PM Gawker.com has a post about the AP's new Facebook and Twitter guidelines for its employees. It's pretty straight forward; nothing too earth shattering. In the memo to its employees, the AP editors take a pot shot at MSNBC's Chris Matthews in one of their examples:
"Also, when tweeting, remember there's a big difference between providing an observation ("I nearly bumped into outside Penn Station") and an opinion ("I nearly bumped into that loudmouth and obnoxious Chris Matthews outside Penn Station")
Not sure if we'll see any AP reporters on Hardball anytime soon ...
