I'm not a huge sci-fi fan, and I'm definitely not a trekkie, but Stars Wars is one of the best movies I've ever seen. It made all of those George Lucas films look ridiculous.
I was a fan of Star Treck: The Next Generation, and enjoyed those movies, but I could never get into the all of the other spinoffs, or even the original movies.
This movie had the best opening sequence in movie history, or atleast on par with Saving Private Ryan, and it just got better from there. JJ Abrams, the director, is a genius. I can see this new franchise easily doing 4-5 movies over the next decade.
Do yourself a favor and go see it today. It's worth the $14.50 plus $32 for a large popcorn and soda. Really.
