Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at 09:13PM Whenever I have PIX11 segment I'll go to their blog and link to it. Tonight I happened to be loitering on the site for a few extra minutes and stumbled across Jim Watkins's and Kaity Tong's blogs, their evening news anchors.
All I can say is this is blogging done right. What terrific reads. They opine on everything from the news of the day, to their favorite live bands, to dinner recipes ... and everything in between. It's clearly connecting with their audience -- they receive lots of comments and feedback -- and they're disciplined to the point of blogging just about every day. Very impressive.
But beyond that, it's a great example of how news personalities are using blogs to create a deeper connection to their audiences and remain relevant in this topsy-turvey media world.
