"My administration is the only thing between you and the pitchforks"
Friday, April 3, 2009 at 06:28PM Politico.com has a fascinating behind-the-scenes account of the meeting between President Obama and the TARP CEOs last week.
Fascinating because there were few niceties between the CEOs and the President -- mostly blunt talk about the banks reforming their ways.
The President got off one of the best soundbytes I've heard in a while, telling them "my administration is the only thing between you and the pitchforks."
It was probably pre-meditated and scripted, mostly because the White House knew it would leak out ... but mission accomplished. Most Americans agree with his sentiment, and his blunt talk. Score one for the President.

things are a changin' Nick..there was never/is ever a doubt that Obama will steer us the right way. The way he masterfully handled USA presence at G-20 has only served to expand his/USA good world standing.
