Second stimulus package ... for real?
Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 07:21AM There's been a growing chatter among the pundit-ocracy that there may be need for a second stimulus bill.
What? It's been less then a month since the $800 billion stimulus plan was passed -- did anyone really think it would have an immediate impact?
Throwing another $400 billion in useless spending at the economy makes no sense whatsoever. If the administration is really looking to jump start the economy, they should cut the corporate tax rate and capital gains. Companies hire people. Cut their taxes. It makes sense.
On another note, Newsweek reporter (and Keith Olbermann favorite) Howard Fineman is the first liberal to go critical on President Obama. I think he's jumping the gun a bit, but it's interesting reading nonetheless.
