For the love of the game ... and Fred "Re-Run" Berry
Sunday, March 1, 2009 at 11:53AM Just when you thought baseball was comprised only of selfish d-nozzle's like A-Rod and his juice loving cohorts (read Giambi, Sheffield, Clemens et al), Bill Pennington of the New York Times has this heartwarming story about the University of Maine baseball team. To steal the title of that awful Kevin Costner movie, they really do play for the love of the game.
And apropos of nothing, Fred "Re-Run" Berry rules.
