It should be an interesting evening.

Can Obama ever speak in specifics? "We haven't seen the language yet" ... there's a 103 page document floating around Congress with lots of specifics. I'd love to see him take a stand on something -- anything.

Can McCain even answer a question? "I hope to vote for the plan"

September 26, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterJR

McCain didn't take a real stance either. And i'm sorry- corporate greed? Does he realize how much his wife makes? or how frivolously they spend their money? $300 k on an outfit for one night- yeah, clearly, greed hasn't affected them at all.

Good try at the Kennedy empathy move.

And trying to turn his answer back to his age-related experience and foreign policy.

$300 billion in tax cuts? well, we're spending $700 billion on a bailout. Seems like a bargain ...

95% of which 50% don't pay income taxes... Get your hands off of my money

September 26, 2008 | Unregistered Commentermatt

he doesn't even know what a tax break is

September 26, 2008 | Unregistered Commentermatt

Totally agree with you Matt. Top 1% of wage earners accounted for 39 percent of the tax revenues last year. Bottom 50% accounted for 3% of tax revenues.

This earmark stuff is lame. Nobody gives a damn. Move on to something new. Where is the foreign policy? Jim Lehrer is annoying me.

September 26, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterNick

he looked at me and I puked. maybe someone under 250K can clean it up

September 26, 2008 | Unregistered Commentermatt

moderation is horrible so far . . .

September 26, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterJen

i want to hear about nuclear

September 26, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterAmy

but I am going to start throwing the term "festuned with Christmas tree ornaments" into conversations thanks to McCain

September 26, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterJen

Jim Lehrer looks confused about where he is ...

September 26, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterNick

first we gave loans to people who couldn't afford them...Now they need broadband too!!!

September 26, 2008 | Unregistered Commentermatt

I'm festuned with hair spray .... Mccain again with the pork and spending ... his polling must show that people care, but I don't see it.

September 26, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterNick

"John's right that we need to make some cuts" ...

September 26, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterNick

Did McCain just propose a spending freeze? that's sort of news.

September 26, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterNick

caring for our veterans?!? let's talk about caring for them through your limiting idea of a GI bill.

September 26, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterAmy

Obama opposes nukes -- I knew it!

September 26, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterNick

i do agree with mccain on nuclear. finally. reprocessing would save us tons.

September 26, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterAmy

jim lehrer is asking stupid questions.

September 26, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterAmy

Senator, I'm asking for those tax cuts ...

September 26, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterNick

haha- did obama call it an orgy of spending?

and can we get off less spending? we get the point mccain- each time you say it- you're not miss congeniality, you're a maverick. and your partner? she's a tool.
