Mark Warner: the art of the dull

Being the speaker before Hillary Clinton at a Democratic National Convention is a tough chore.  Doing it on a night when Hillary is about to give the biggest speech of her life is exceedingly tough.  Being Mark Warner makes it nearly an impossibilty.

That may have been the worst speech since ... well, ever.   He gave a speech targeted to the Richmond Chamber of Commerce, which makes sense because he's running for the Senate in Virginia.  But he was the key note speaker, and he barely mentioned Bush or McCain, and offered more cliches and meaningless platitudes than should be allowed by any human being.    Anyone who remembers anything Warner said just five minutes after the speech deserves one of Michael Phelps gold medals.

From what I can gather, Mark Warner is pro-future, pro-moving ahead, pro-not looking back, pro-turning thet page, pro-America, pro-Founding Fathers, and pro-goofy hand geatures.   The convention goers are starving for some red meat, and he offered tofu.
