Is Hillary negotiating to be on the ticket? George says yes

Whenever George Stephanopoulos opines about the Clinton camp, it's worth paying close attention for the simple fact that he's probably parroting what a Clinton insider (if not the candidate herself) told him.

obamahillary.jpgSo when he told Charles Gibson on World News Tonight that she would accept the Veep slot if asked, it merits asking:  Is she staying in the race to negotiate a spot on the ticket? Could she possibly be that delusional? Evidentially maybe.

There is zero chance Barack Obama will ask her to be on the ticket.  There isn't enough water to put under that bridge.  The wounds from this campaign cut too deep, and contain too much salt, for there to be any chance of a reconciliation.

And from a practical standpoint, an Obama-Hillary-Bill ticket would provide an almost unlimited fodder for the press and the Republicans; it would be a daily soap opera and would turn the election into a non-stop sketch comedy.   My prediction: Hillary will eventually endorse Obama and then half-heartedly campaign for him, all the while secreting hoping that he loses to McCain so that she can run again in 2012.
