Hence, Hillary Clinton's calling on President Bush to boycott the opening ceremonies of the Olympics today. Her sudden and unexpected admonition comes on the heels of perhaps the worst week of her campaign -- one which saw her chief strategist step down, another high-profile embellishment, and the revealation that she's filthy rich.
The Clinton camp had months to think about the Olympics and China's record of human rights. It certainly wasn't like they were caught off guard with the fact that the Olympics -- gasp gasp! -- were being held in ... um ... China. I think it's been on the books for a while.
