Teflon Obama

First there was Rezco the slumlord, then the incendiary rantings of Jeremiah Wright, and now "bitter-gate" .... and the net result:  the latest polls show Obama closing the gap in Pennsylvania and Indiana, and widening his national lead.

Obama-Sharpton.jpgHillary has done exactly what she said she'd do -- throw the kitchen sink at him -- and it hasn't made a dent.  In fact, it's only loosened her grip on two must-win states.  I can't say exactly why this is the case -- it seems to cut against conventional wisdom -- but then again this entire race has defied conventional wisdom.

It could just be that Hillary has over-played her hand with "bitter-gate."  It has consumed her entire message, and essentially become her Raison d'etre for staying in the race.   It has compelled her to try yet another makeover -- this time, as a bible thumping, shot drinking, gun toting Second Amendment stalwart.  Maybe voters are just responding to the desperation.
