Bitter-gate: day 5

"Bitter-gate" just doesn't seem to be going away, mostly because the Clinton camp is working overtime to extend its shelf life.

obama.jpgAccording to the New York Times, Clinton has released a new commercial in Pennsylvania where "ordinary" voters express dismay over Obama's bitter remark from last week.

Ever since Obama surged ahead in pledged delegates, analysts and the chattering class have been saying "short of an Obama meltdown," the race would be all but over for Hillary come June 3rd.

Well, team Clinton clearly thinks this is Obama's meltdown moment, or at least they're trying to make it that way.  We're on day five of "bitter-gate", and it's pretty much the only issue now for Hillary. Of course, two weeks ago it was Reverend Wright, and before that Tony Rezco the slumlord.   Even John McCain has jumped on the bandwagon, calling Obama's remarks "elitist."   This should make for a very interesting debate Wednesday night in Philadelphia.

The fact is it IS an elitist thing for Obama to say, and the sheen has definately come off his star, IMO. I think McCain will defeat him pretty handily come November.
