Bubba to the rescue!

Here's one from the Bubba twilight zone.  Just as furor over "sniper-gate" had almost completely died down, Bill Clinton resuscitated it by musing how it was another example of the media out to get Hillary.

billclinton.jpg"You know, I got tickled the other day. A lot of the way this whole campaign has been covered has amused me," Clinton told CBS news at a campaign event in Indiana.  "But there was a lot of fulminating because Hillary, one time late at night when she was exhausted, misstated — and immediately apologized for it — what happened to her in Bosnia in 1995. Did y'all see all that? Oh, they blew it up."

Let's take this apart.  First, the coverage of this campaign has tickled you? Might want to use a more accurate word, like infuriated or "sent me into red-faced, finger-wagging rages."  Second, why bring this up now -- the issue had all but died under its own volition.  Nice way to bring a dead story back to life.  And third, at least get the facts straight:   This wasn't the result of end-of-the-day exhaustion; sniper-gate was told on four occasions, and in prepared text.   This was completely premeditated and purposeful.

I'm beginning to wonder who Bill wants to win, Hillary or Obama.

Footnote:  A day after Bill Clinton's re-embellishment of sniper-gate, Hillary told him to shut up.
