Tiger Woods + The Cliffs = lots of media

**Work Alert**

I get to do lots of cool things for my job, and represent many amazing clients, but few things top the experience I had working with Tiger Woods and his new project with our client, The Cliffs.

We spent all day Saturday hosting the media and prospective buyers at the groundbreaking for Tiger's first U.S. golf course design, which will be the centerpiece of The Cliffs latest residential project called High Carolina.

To say that the property is breathtaking would be a gross understatement.  It has some of the most beautiful sight-lines and vistas anywhere in the world, and the plan calls for upwards of 1,000 homes to be developed at the location in the future.

The (funny) highlight of the day was watching intrepid CNBC reporter Jane Wells conclude the walk-and-talk part of her interview with Tiger by taking a spill .... fortunately, she wasn't hurt (though she's sporting a nifty looking cankle).  Be on the lookout for it monday morning on CNBC.

Footnote:  Here's the link to Jane Wells' story.  She did a great job. And very funny.

Tiger was fantastic -- the most disciplined and polite spokesperson I've ever seen. Truly a pleasure.

Did you show him your swing?

November 10, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterj zaetz

Yes, he was thrilled to check out my swing. He said it was right up there with winning the Open on one leg as far as career thrills.

I'm sure he picked a few things to incorporate into his own.

Absolutely amazing stuff Nick. Having a golf-nut father-in-law that lives in Asheville, this project has been buzzed about for as long as Tiger's drives.

You must have a pretty amazing media relations team. What a coup
