Nickragone.com pressures Obama into making Treasury choice ... yea, that's whappend

Just a day after blogging that it was time for the Prez Elect to name his Treasury Secretary, team Obama leaked that New York Fed President Tim Geithner was their guy.

Geithner was the front runner from the very beginning, and the markets reacted favorably with a 500 point rally on the news (something else I predicted).

Geithner is a good choice.  He's well respected on Wall Street, has been knee deep in the bailout stuff, and knows all the key players.  There won't be much on the job training for Geithner.

Other nickragone.com predictions:  The Yankees will spend unconscionable sums of cash to marginally upgrade their team; Brett Favre will have at least two more 4+ interception games this year; I will buy at least three more (decent) ties before the end of the year.
