Politics of the bailout, part 3
Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 10:26AM Last night the Senate passed the bailout bill (with a few sweetners thrown in like an increse in the FDIC protection on deposits) on a 74-25 vote.
It was a show of force by the Senate, and the hope is that the House will follow suit and adopt the bill as well. Trying to predict what the back benchers in both parties will do is pointless, however. The House has proven, time and again, that demogaugery and finger-pointing take precedent over good law making.
Hopefully they won't live up to their expectations.

Parts 1 & 2 were good enough for me...
Nice Christmas Tree, Senators!
Thanks!
