Debate Night - Live blogging

I'll be live blogging again during the last debate tonight.  I'm expecting a doozy given McCain's predicament.  Last live-blogging got 144 comments, 142 from Mitch.  See you at 9!

Footnote: I'll be on CW11 giving post debate analysis at 6:20 am and 7:30, give or take a few minutes.

I like coincidences. They make me wonder about destiny, and whether free will is an illusion or just a matter of perspective. They let me speculate on the idea of some master plan that, from time to time, we're allowed to see out of the corner of our eye.

30 seconds baby!

October 15, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMitch

Sitting around the kitchen table ... format will be tough for McCain; hard to attack a guy when you're sitting at a table with him.

October 15, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterNick

it's freddie mac, dude, not freddie mae

October 15, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMitch

This is the same old blather as the last debates. Cant bob ask a specific, pointed question? This has snoozefest in the making.

October 15, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterNick

snoozefest=obama advantage

October 15, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMitch

Wow Mac is on the attack -- mentions the guy in Ohio and the "redistribution of the wealth" ... game on!

October 15, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterNick

Cmon guys, I'm in class right now, I need more specifics. Paint a picture for me!

How can 95% of the population get a tax cut when 40% of the population doesn't pay income tax?

October 15, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterdan

Spread the wealth around would be a more damning comment .. if we hadn't nationalized our banks yesterday

October 15, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterNick

mccain is making a point, BUT HE DOESNT KNOW HOW TO DELIVER IT COHERENTLY! This is his problem

October 15, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMitch

I agree with your comment 100% Dan. Top 1%of wage earners accounted for 23% of income tax revenues in 1986; 33% in 2000; and 39% in 2006.

Mac is hammering him on taxes ... where has he been hiding this?

October 15, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterNick

1st topic was a draw

October 15, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMitch

By the way Nick we graduated from JFK the same year...love the website

October 15, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterdan

I saw it advantage mccain ... the fact that they were talking about tax hikes for 5 minutes doesn't help Obama. and tomorrow there is going to be a lot of talk about joe the plummer. That guy became an instant celebrity.

October 15, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterNick

Hey Dan! Thanks for visiting. And I see you're on the right side of the issues!

October 15, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterNick

Mitch, you have to admit, mccain is on fire. this is the most aggressive he's been in any of the debates. with desperation comes aggression.

October 15, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterNick

Obama needs to attack more, mccain is getting off to many zingers...he cant play defensive for 90 minutes...he will lose

October 15, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMitch

What does everyone think of the running against George Bush comment? Will that earn McCain points or does it make him look like a grump?

October 15, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMargo

Obama dogging Fox News! Thems fighting words!

October 15, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterrw

any time bush is mentioned it is a net loss for mccain - period

October 15, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMitch

i actually give mccain an edge in 2nd section

October 15, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMitch

scheiffer is doing an amazing job

October 15, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMitch

this is the first debate where mccain is actually on the offense. mitch is right - can't play defense. obama needs to attack back. John lewis said mccain was a racist? wow missed that. mccain dropping some bombs.
