Mayor Bloomberg running again

Mayor Bloomberg is expected to announce that he'll be seeking a third term as mayor of New York City, even though the position is term limited.

Whisper has it that he will ask the city council to overturn the term-limits law as early as today.

Given the precarious state of the New York City economy, and the financial markets in general, Bloomberg will likely win in a cake-walk should the city council amend the law.

It's an odd move -- a very odd move -- but then again, term limits never made much sense.  The bottom line is that Bloomberg has been a phenominal mayor, and you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who doesn't want this guy leading the city during these turbulent times.  Good luck Bloomy!
